Cynthia Ann Stewart was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 5, 1949 to the late Sally Ann Warren-Cork and Laney Gilliam Cork. 

Cynthia Ann received her primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System.

Cynthia Ann met and later married the love of her life, the late Ray Dean Stewart. This union of love continued for forty-eight wonderful years until Ray Dean Stewart’s passing in 2018. This union of love also brought two children and eight grandchildren.

Cynthia Ann was employed as Head Cook & Culinary Artist at the Enlisted Men’s Chow Hall at Fort Benjamin Harris Military Base until she retired in 1993.  After retiring Cynthia Ann continued to cater weddings and other events.

Cynthia Ann was a devoted Jehovah Witness since 2003.  She read the Bible and worshipped Jehovah daily.  Cynthia Ann’s favorite bible scripture was Isaiah 41:10, “Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God.  I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.”

Cynthia Ann always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives.  Cynthia Ann never missed a first day of school through college departure.  She was a mother to many children and a great sister to her brothers.  Cynthia Ann never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome.  Cynthia Ann’s other hobbies included, dancing, singing and listening to music. 

Cynthia Ann Stewart departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 74 years of age.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dean Stewart; parents; brothers, Marvin Lawrence Cork and Larry Edward Cork.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory Kenya Jarmar Stewart (Christina); daughter, Deana Moray Stewart Norfolk (Timothy); brothers, James Robert Williams, Rex Allen Cork and one sister Lillian Merill; eight grandchildren, Malik (Bug),  Tatiyanna, Mekhi (Scooter), Kaden (Blue), Kaiden, Khyree (Skeeter), Khloe, Kendall (BoBo), and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins, other family and friends.
