Hello, Valarie & Fred,

It is absolutely heartbreaking to learn of the loss of cousin Rosa. You see, I only just found her. My name is Carl Jaynes and I am one of Rosa's cousins from Illinois. I've been looking for her - well, all of you really - since the mid nineteen nineties. I found Rosa after finally locating her aunt, Rosa Love, who passed away in Chicago, in July of 2000. I assume you both knew her. Of course, I'm not certain of that. Some of the family groups seem to have lost touch many, many years ago, though I know they were all close at one time. Rosa Love and your maternal grandfather MD Wright were the children of Henry Wright and Ina Jenkins Wright. Henry was the eldest brother of my g-grandmother Mary. She married William Alonzo Janes and they produced my grandfather Ole Bull Janes. He lived most of his life in Onarga IL. My father was the youngest of his 5 sons. My siblings and I grew up in Streator, IL.

Well, that's how you and I are connected. I would love to talk to you both if you're interested, and hopefully meet some day - when this pesky pandemic has ended. My email address is chj1764@gmail.com. Please feel free to use it.

My deepest sympathy to you.
