Linda  walked to her sunset on July 10, 2020.  She was the daughter of Elnora and Albert Wilson in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Linda completed her primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Howe High School.

Linda was known by so many names, Mother, Mama Linda, Grandma, Sister, Aunty Linda and many more.

Linda had a love for cooking, music, going to the grocery store, but most of all her family.  Anywhere Linda was there was good food, music and laughter.

Linda opened up her heart, home and kitchen for anyone that was in need.  She didn’t judge, but she would tell you like it was.

Linda had a personal relationship with the Lord.  She used her faith and trust in the Lord to act as a guiding light to the many people God put in her path of life.

Linda lead by example by always sharing compassion and love.  She was a mother well beyond her own children.  The strength, drive and leadership that she has bestowed on us all has left an impact that will ripple for many generations.  We will carry on that legacy. #LINDA STRONG

She departed this earthly life on July, 10, 2020 to start a new heavenly life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elnora Tudor.

Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Williams “Popeye”; father, Elder Charles Wells; her children, Dawn Young, Edward Warren, Ronald Holmes. Jr., Andrea Holmes, Damien Williams, Elisia Holmes, Charles Holmes, Bernice Wilson, Michael Wilson, James Wilson, and Robert Lopez; siblings, DeeAnna Ewing, Brett Wilson,  and  Toni Thompson; and host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear fiends.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalm 91:1-4
