Annie Ruth Lackey, age 60, passed away on June 7, 2020  in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was conceived in Aberdeen, Mississippi, after the consummation of the marriage of her father, the late Walter Calvin Lackey, and her mother, Ruth "Lackey" Thomas.

Annie Ruth, more affectionately known as "Suga Wuga," always wore a smile. Her laugh was infectious and her warm heart would always light up any room she entered.

"Suga Wuga," had such a youthful and exuberant countenance. Through her life journey, her warm heart opened doors for her to explore many of her giftings, which included, performing comedy on stage, planning lavish events and tea parties for her grandchildren, and most importantly, her work in ministry in the children's ministry at Kingdom Ministries Christian Church, where her Pastor was Dr. Lee Morgan of Indianapolis.

Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Walter C. Lackey; her first born child, Trevor D. Lackey

Annie is survived by her mother, Ruth M. Thomas; her loving spouse, Gregory  Kinnebrew; five surviving children, Antionette D. Lackey, Jennifer M. Anderson,  Lenita R. Maxie, Lyna A. Sanders, and Robert L. Thomas, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, friends, and extended family.

So sorry for loss

TO MRS. RUTH THOMAS mother of the deceased:

Mothers birth their children and know their children as none other:

1. As Senator Cory Booker and Colonel Colin Powell quote:
‘‘Life is about purpose not position or prosperity. ‘Our friends know us, and in adversity we know our friends’

and

2. This we know…
The earth does not belong to Man or Woman. Man and Woman belong to the earth. ALL things are connected like the blood that unites one family.
Man or Woman did not weave the web of life. He or She is merely a strand in it. Whatsoever, He or She does to the web they do unto themselves but a mother's love is only surpassed by the love of GOD.

3. May the grace of GOD forever be you.
