Shelley Ann (Jefferson) Moore was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on Christmas Day, December 25, 1952 to parents, William Bradley Jefferson, Jr. and Mary Ellen (Williams) Jefferson.

Shelley received her education in the Indianapolis Public Schools System.

She married the love of her life, Donald Anthony Moore, on March 27, 1982.  He preceded her in death on August 27, 2000.

Shelley  was a day care provider and a homemaker. In recent years she worked with the Marion County Clerk's office with elections.   She was a faithful and active member of Purpose of Life Ministries.  Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also loved traveling to Tennessee, Cincinnati and Florida.  Shelley  was always a welcomed guest at any social event.  She was known for her shining personality, her zeal for life and her love of family.  Shelley loved music, dancing, playing bingo, and celebrating her and her mother's birthdays on Christmas Eve every year.  Above all, Shelley loved praising the Lord.  She would often remind family members to let it go, not to worry and turn it over to the Lord.   She ended each phone call or visit with "I love you". Shelley touched so many lives and will be missed immensely.

Shelley departed this life on May 17, 2020 at the age of 67 years and 5 months.

Besides her spouse and parents, Shelley  had a brother, Reginald and sister, Karen who preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her three children, Donita (Susie) Moody, Damica Moore, Donald Anthony Moore, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Valerie Lewis, William (Lillie), Myron, Broderick and Kevin Jefferson; aunts, Rosemary Lee and Celestine (Booker) McKissick; sisters-in-laws, Kathleen Carter and Linda Randle; special sisters, Deborah Pepper and Catherine Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved.
