A Brief Sketch

Aretha “Diana” Jones was born in Indianapolis Indiana to Clint Jones and Lou Jean Young.  It was known at a young age that Aretha was going to be a peacemaker and peacekeeper.  She looked out others, even before herself.

Aretha attended elementary and middle school in the IPS school  systems, eventually to attend schools in Perry Township.  She attended Perry Meridian High where she met many of her lifelong friends, she graduated in 1987.  After graduation, Aretha attended Kaye’s Beauty College. Aretha went on to be one of the best hairstylist in Indianapolis, she was known for her luxurious up-do hairstyles.  She had a large clientele and they loved her very much.

Aretha or Diane as called by many, loved being with her friends and family and she loved to celebrate.  Aretha had an array of God-children that she spent time with and loved very much.  Aretha was joined in matrimony with Tyrone Haywood on July 1, 2006, together they were unstoppable.  They had a loving home where family and friends were welcomed.

Aretha transitioned to her new home on Friday, April 24, 2020.  She will be missed by all.

Sending hugs to the Family. I'm in deep sorrow not believing the little girl who started styling my hair at the age of 17 received her diva wings to heaven. Aretha was the best in all things especially giving Love to others. Please keep your faith in God he will get you through this pain. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. My deepest condolence to the family.
