Sandra Elaine Gomillia Dinkins was born on April 19,1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Andrew Lee Gomillia and Rosie Mae Vaughn.  As an integral part of a large, loving, Christian family, she professed her belief in Christ at an early age.  Sandra completed her education in the local area schools.

 

On November 9, 1999, Sandra was united in marriage to Charles Dinkins.  Together they shared marital contentment and happiness.

 

Sandra was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandparent.  Her most cherished moments were spent in the presence of her family and loved ones.  Holidays were her favorite time of the years. 

 

Sandra Elaine Gomillia Dinkins  departed this life on   March 9, 2020, at the age of sixty-six years ten months and twenty-one days.  Sandra was preceded in death by husband, Charles Dinkins, in 2003; her mother, Rosie Vaughn; father, Andrew Gomillia; brothers, Leon, Tyrone, and Brian, and her sister, Christine. 

 

She leaves to cherish her three children, Tonya Sanders (Jeff), James Clifford Harney, III, and Antuan Lamont Harney; seven grandchildren, Cornell Walker, III, Darnell Walker, Gerald Harney, Tre Harney, Lyric Sanders, Alona Harney, and Janée Kimball; two great-grandchildren, Lailah Sanders and Cairo Khalil Walker; brothers, William Outlaw, Stanley Outlaw (Cynthia), Bruce Outlaw (Beverly), Bruce Livingston (Dellie), Ruben Burruss, Anthony McCombs, and David McCombs; sisters, Louise Baker, Eva Spaulding, Rita Broadley, Rita Harris(Wayne), Annette Hagan (Johnny) and Debra Ferguson; her lifelong best friend/sister, Debra Smith, many other very, very close friends throughout her life, and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Just know that Momma loved

and had a special relationship with each one of you

that cannot be replaced and to her three Godchildren

Nothing but love.

Sandra I will miss you friend forever!!!!!! Thank you for all the memories and fun trips with me. You have left me speechless and loss for words. I know that God will wipe away my tears but you will forever be in my heart.
