Lloyd Henry Walker, affectionately known as "Pie" was born January 8, 1954, to John and Bertha Walker in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the fifth of eight children. The family was reared on the northwest side of the city. Northwestern Ave.,Watkins Park and The Center were some of Pie's favorite places growing up and where he formed lifelong friendships.

Pie attended public schools #87, Shortridge and was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School. Pie attended Christ Temple as a child and was faithful in Our Lord Jesus Christ. As an adult he continued his spiritual journey and answered to his calling by visiting various churches and donating food and goods to charitable organizations.

Pie learned the meaning of work at a early age, learning under the watchful eye of his father and alongside his brothers. Construction became a mainstay in his life. He could be seen walking the rafters hundreds of feet up while working on the Pyramids on Michigan Road. Some of his co-workers would say "he walks like he's on the ground". Construction was only the beginning.  Pie worked for years at Broadmoor Country Club, where he was recognized as "Top Employee". Heartland Foods and The Julian Center's Thrifty Threads were the last places he worked. Pie took great pride in his work and was a reliable employee.

Pie had a very happy soul. He was giving and unselfish. Hard to anger. He loved his family. Pie had a light that shone in a special way. His light seemed to dim more and more after the passing of each loved one. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Phyllis Holland, brothers; Robert "Son" Walker, Kenneth "Kenny” Walker and his longtime companion Barbara King.

Pie will be sorely missed by his siblings; Beverli Moazami, Sharon Walker, Hiwatha Walker, Charles Humble, Rodney Walker and  Tony Walker. Nieces; Drena Harris, Shaune Anderson, Maida Thompson (David), Brittany Brookins, Almitra Walker and Anastasiya Walker. Nephews; Jeffery Green, Maurice Brookins, Daniel Walker, Demetrius Walker, and a host of family and countless friends.
