Phillip Watkins, Sr. was born November 18, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the youngest of five born to Phillip Toombs and Angela Watkins.

Phillip attended Julian Coleman Middle School.  He received his General Education  Development (G.E.D.)

Phillip was the “Hulk” of the family.  If you knew Phillip, you knew to love him.  He was a great man, brother, son, nephew, cousin, grandson, dad and friend.

Phillip was very funny, loving and was a beast in the eyes of his family.  His  love carried on throughout his family.  Phillip loved his children with all of his heart.  No  matter what, his family was his focus and most important to him. Phillip’s mom was his heart and he was her protector.

Phillip loved music and liked to make people laugh. If he was li’l cousin, he was big cousin.  If he was li’l bro, he was big bro.  He was always there for you,  no matter what.  He always spoke of God, and if you did not know Him, he would break it down.  Phillip loved to build decks and enjoyed working. Money was his favorite thing.

Phillip Watkins, Sr.  departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2019, at the age of thirty-one years.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his mother, Angela Watkins; father, Phillip Toombs; children, Anias Watkins, Phillip Watkins, Jr., Ma’lasia Kent and A’Niylah Kent; siblings, LaKeysha Watkins, Keyona Toombs, Shannon Watkins and Sherrelle Watkins; grandmothers, Carla Lewis and Ruth Golden; grandfather, Robert Toombs, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Phillip. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible's promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
