Bonita “Bonnie” Louise Morgan Wilson 65, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 23, 2015.

Bonnie as she was affectionately called fought a long and noble battle with cancer.  She was born April 18, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Hilton D. Morgan and the late Louise A. Arnold.

She was a friend to all who met her and found her greatest pleasure in cooking gourmet meals for family and friends.

Bonnie lived in Indianapolis most of her life.  She graduated from Shortridge High School in 1968 and moved briefly to New York City where she attended and worked at Columbia University. Bonnie returned to Indianapolis and worked at American United Life Insurance Company until she was employed at the Defense Finance and Accounting Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison as a Claims Analyst for thirty years.

Bonnie also pursued her lifetime goal of attending the culinary school at Ivy Tech Community College.

Bonnie is survived by her brother, Roderick H. Morgan, Esq; her daughter, the Reverend Tracy Johnson Russell (Fitzroy) of Connecticut; and her sons, Brandon C. DuPree and Davion Darnell Burrell; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron, Aiden, Andrew, Rommell, Ari’ana, Braelyn and Thaeyer, and one nephew, Agapito E. Morgan of Connecticut.

Bonnie, I will always remember you from our high school days at Shortridge when we had so much fun together as each others boy friend and girl friend. i wished that I could have seen you again before you left us. You will always be in my heart.
