Sandra and I were undergraduate roommates at Tufts University. She pursued law and I pursued medicine and education . It is hard to embrace her passing.. Sandra had a vibrant spirit, and was good and trusted friend. How many of you know that she was a cheerleader??? Did we share laughs!!! I still remember her fondness the singer songwriter, Al Green ... and visualize her dancing to his lyrics. I will miss her

I want to express my condolences to a tireless advocate for the poor and downtrodden. Sandra dedicated her life to make sure that others less fortunate were not taken advantage of by a cruel legal system. She was my campaign manager for my successful run to become the first African-American elected to statewide office. I will miss her smile and warmth from knowing her. May God continue to bless and comfort her love ones because Indianapolis has lost a fantastic advocate for humanity.
