Lula Lenora Adams Jameson was born on March 8, 1925, to the late James Adams   and Lou Ova Wade of Nashville, Tennessee. She transitioned from this earthly life at the age of 94 years on February 4, 2020.

Lula was educated in  Nashville in the public school system. At the age of 13, she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana,  where she attended School #4 and Crispus Attucks High School.  She  graduated with the Class of 1943.

Lula married the late Frank Jameson, Jr., on December 2, 1943, and they enjoyed over 65 years of marriage.  To this union was born four daughters and two sons.

Lula attended Riverside Park United Methodist Church, where she actively served in the United Methodist Women ministry and sang in the Chancel Choir.  As the result of the shift of the United Methodist Church, Lula’s membership became active at Barnes United  Methodist Church.

Lula was a wife, mother and homemaker until she became employed by Indiana University Medical Center  as a Dietary Supervisor in 1960. She worked for 25 years, retiring in 1985.  After retiring, she enjoyed collecting “what-nots,” cooking, baking, gardening and spreading the love of God.  She loved her fish aquarium, sports, babysitting for her grandchildren and hosting family gatherings all year round.

Lula was the disciplinarian, very opinionated, outspoken, and would always let you know what was on her mind.  She loved opening her home to others, whether family or not, she just loved all people!

Lula was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lou Ova Adams; her beloved husband, Frank “Buddy” Jameson, Jr.; her daughter, Marilyn “Penny” Jameson, and all of her siblings.  She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Toni White (the late Fred White), Frank Jameson, III (Billie Joyce), Alyce Archie (Claud), Minister Neal Jameson (Jacqueline) and Reverend Lynn Martin (Wells), 19  grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, three generations of nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors, many friends and her church family.
