A Brief Sketch of Life

Aaron L. Thomas, Jr. was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Estella Kirk Thomas and Aaron L. Thomas, Sr., on September 21, 1947.

Aaron professed his hope in Christ at an early age.  In later years, he joined First Baptist-North Indianapolis under the pastorate of Reverend Doctor Ivan Douglas Hicks.  It was his joy to serve as Deacon.

Aaron as a youth was a Golden Gloves champion.  Aaron started working with his dad at age 11 for Gassert's Part Supply Store.  He continued to work in other capacities until 1997.

Aaron attended and graduated from Shortridge High School, in 1965.  After graduation, he attended Consolidated Business College and gained employment via Davidson's Paint Center as a salesman.

In 1967, Aaron married E. Lois (Thomas) and to this union two daughters were born, Lynnette Cheryl (Foreman), and Erica Lee.

In 1976 Aaron became employed in the real estate industry.  He was united in  holy matrimony to Linda E. (Hill) Thomas.  To this union, his only son, Aaron Micah Thomas was born.  Aaron devotedly accepted the responsibility as stepfather to Angela Elaine (Blackwell) Miller.

After years of loyal service in the real estate industry, he was promoted to Vice President until retirement.   Aaron’s hobbies included playing tennis, he was an avid golfer, and playing Bid Whiz, and DAD.  He was a brilliant conversationalist and he enjoyed making others laugh.

Aaron was preceded in death by parents; sister, Teresa, brother, Randall and grandson, Eric Bell.

Aaron leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Linda; children, Lynnette, Angela (Kevin Miller Sr.), Erica, Aaron Micah, Ill (Amber); grandchildren, Jeffrey Foreman, Justen Foreman, Kevin Miller, Jr., Kyle Miller, Kelsey (Rodney) Moore, Kollin Miller, Kameron Miller, Greg ''Trai" (Princess), Chris Williams, Ezia Thomas, Lexis, Aaron IV; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Allen (Shawn) Vaughn and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, First Baptist North Indianapolis church family and many, many friends.
