Ms. Lisa Marie Hunt, daughter of Carlene (Kinchlow) Stevens and the late Ivy Hunt, was born April 4, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Lisa, at an early age was raised and nurtured in Grace Apostolic Church, where she was active in Sunday School.  However, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in her later years, in January of 2021.

Lisa received her primary education in the public school system in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She attended School #76, Mapleton Fall Creek Junior High School, and George Washington High School.

Lisa for years, took pride in her occupation as a dispatcher and auditor for Last Chance.  Lisa was devastated when she had to leave due to her illness, but the Last Chance family never forgot her; she was family for life. They exhibited such an outpouring of affection, monetary, as well as gifts; reassuring Lisa, she was deeply missed and in their hearts.

Lisa was a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was and always will be loved and adored by many. She was self-motivated, confident, and a realist.  She didn't meet a stranger, knew so many people, from childhood to adulthood she could ID a person from 20, 30, 40 years ago, and called you by your full government name. She could put a face with a name in a heartbeat, her mind was SHARP.  Lisa would give a person a nickname and it stuck with them for life.  She was the baby of her siblings, but thought she was the eldest, so Bossy. She was the life of a party.  She loved to cook, eat, read novels, and have gatherings with family and friends; but not to mention Lisa loved to burn those phone lines up, she most definitely had to have unlimited data. (LOL) Lisa was simply a Jewel, priceless, full of life and style. She has engraved her legacy on the hearts and minds of many. (look around) She was truly LOVED. Lisa will be forever missed but not forgotten; as she would so affectionately say every morning on Facebook… “Good Morning LoveBugs”.

Ms. Lisa Marie Hunt departed this life September 7, 2021.  She was     preceded in death by her grandmothers, Laura Allen and Carlene Kinchlow; uncle, Carl Kinchlow; aunt, Delores Kinchlow, and brother, Steven “Yogi” Shepherd, Sr.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her son, Brandon Rose; daughter, Ivy Hunt; six grandchildren; mother, Carlene Stevens; sisters, L’Tanya Ellison and Donna Fitzgerald; brother, Michael Gilmore; sister-in-law, Sherri Shepherd; uncle, Aaron Hunt; aunts, Mary Kinchlow, Hattie Sholar, Dora White, and Carolyn Lee; besties, Marlo Ewing and Tammy Berryhill, and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Very sorry for your family's loss. Lisa was loved by many. She was a good friend to me and she is missed but never forgotten! She was there for me when I lost my son to addiction. We worked together at Last Chance. I was always late and she would give me that look of hers... Such a good soul, fly high my sister, no more pain, love and miss you!

Lisa was the breath of fresh air so to speak of our work environment. She was a friend you do not forget. Fly high my friend and suffer no more. Save a spot for me up there.
