ZA'SEAN DAVIS Obituary

Za’Sean Allen Davis, affectionately known as “Zae,” was born on October 1, 1996, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the beloved son of Quiana M. Bateman and Allen L. Davis Jr.

Za’Sean received his education through the Indianapolis Public School System and earned his high school diploma from Arsenal Technical High School. During his school years, one of his greatest joys was playing football and basketball, sports that showcased both his competitive spirit and his love for teamwork.

Za’Sean was employed at Target Distribution Center, where he began his career as a loader and worked diligently toward his goal of becoming an Operations Manager. He often spoke about his aspirations and was determined to continue growing professionally and  personally.

Za’Sean was a proud son, brother, and an absolutely amazing father. Those who knew him understood the deep love and devotion he had for his two daughters. Being their father was one of the greatest blessings and accomplishments of his life.

He enjoyed playing his game, lifting weights, spending time with family, and creating lasting memories with those he loved. Family gatherings and spending time with his siblings brought him great happiness. However, nothing compared to the joy he found in being with his daughters, who were truly the highlight of his life.

Za’Sean Allen Davis departed this life on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Though his time here was far too short, his memory, laughter, love, and impact will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, William Lee.

His legacy lives on through his family, friends, and especially his daughters, who will always carry a part of him with them.

Za’Sean was always there for everyone who loved and needed him. He wanted to see everyone around him win and succeed, especially his siblings. He was our “rock” and our “blueprint,” displaying wisdom, strength, and knowledge far beyond his years.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his beloved children, Za’Nylah and Za’Leigh; his mother, Quiana Bateman (Michael); his father, Allen Davis Jr. (Monica); his  brothers, Allen, Roy, Destin, and Key’On; his sisters, Jasmine, Kayla, Keona, Katelyn, Alicia, and Qah’Liyah; his grandmothers, Carol Lee and Charlene Davis; his grandfathers, Allen Davis Sr. and Henry Bateman; great-grandmother, Rosemary Lee

Za’Sean also leaves to cherish his memory his aunts, Dana Young (Antonio), Adrian, Karen, and Cathy; his uncles, Anthony Bateman (Nicole), Charles Davis, and Larry Howard; his sister-cousin, Tehya Jones; and his cousins, Anya and Anthony Bateman. In addition, leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones with whom he shared amazing relationships and unforgettable memories.

Za’Sean’s life was a testament to love, loyalty, wisdom, and family. His presence brought comfort, guidance, and encouragement to those around him. While his departure leaves an immeasurable void, the love he shared and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
