William Edwin Minor Jr. was born January 11, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry William Minor and Dorothy Wadlington. He was the fifth out of 11 children including his 5 half brothers and sisters totaling 11 children.
Schooling
He attended Elementary school at school #60, Shortridge Junior High School and Shortridge High School. Later, as a man, William E. Minor Jr. enlisted in The National Guard back in 1977 and with through training.
Religion
He grew up as a Jehovah Witness while spreading the word along with his mother and siblings. He attended the Downtown Congregation in Indianapolis, Indiana.
What he liked and who he was
William Minor Jr. loved to help employee people and help them gain employment any way he could help. He believed a man must work, earn his money and take care of the family. He loved to take the family bowling and included his wife’s siblings, nieces and nephews and from there he started a bowling trend where the family made this a family habit and/or tradition.
Profession
William E. Minor Jr. worked as a Maintenance Man for Dodge on 12th and Illinois, for Highway Oil, and Marathon Ashland Asphalt Petroleum Company which led to his experience as becoming a trainer. Later, he retired from this company and began to enjoy his retirement.
Family and Wife and Kids
On March 27, 1980, William E. Minor Jr. married Renita K. Lane and remained united until her death in 2019. Together they had six children, 3 girls and 3 boys, over 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren together.
William E. Minor Jr. departed his life on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the age of sixty-six years old in his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Minor and Harry William Minor and host of his siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, William Minor, III.; daughters, Shawnte Minor, Stephanie Minor and Monica Minor; stepsons, DeWayne Lane and Michael Shaw, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Jeffrey Minor and Austin Minor; his sisters, Juana Smith (Andrew), Anita Minor and Jennifer Davis; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
