Wendy Elaine Fields was born on September 4, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Kenneth and Norvella Reed. A proud graduate of Northwest High School, Class of 1979, Wendy went on to build a career as a dedicated truck dispatcher, most notably with Mayflower. After many years of hard work, she enjoyed a well-earned retirement.
Wendy touched the lives of many through her vibrant spirit, radiant smile, and kind heart. Known for forming deep and lasting friendships, her positivity left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A woman of many talents and passions, Wendy found joy in gardening, gospel music, crafting, sewing, shopping, traveling, and creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Her involvement in church activities and her willingness to lend a helping hand were reflections of her selfless character and deep faith.
Wendy will be remembered for her loving hugs, words of encouragement, and the unwavering support she gave to others. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and generosity. She was truly loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Wendy departed this earthly life on August 28, 2025, at the age of sixty-four years, eleven months and twenty-four days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Norvella Reed, sister, Paula Reed and brother, Kenneth Reed, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Brandy and Erin Fields; grandchildren, Kourtnee Fields, Royal Fields, and Taj Fields; stepmother, Alma Reed; sister, Jill Haskins (William); brothers, Michael Reed (Tessa) and William Reed, Sr. and a host of other siblings, relatives and friends.
