Vicki Wimberly-Brown was born July 13, 1968, to Floyd Wimberly Sr. and Mary Wyatt Wimberly in Indianapolis. She attended IPS Schools #37 and #58, Perry Meridian Middle School, and later Arsenal Technical High School, where she was known for her vibrant personality and school spirit.
Vicki earned a degree in Medical Coding from Sanford-Brown College in 2012 and dedicated over 20 years to working in claims management within the healthcare field. She was admired for her strong work ethic, compassion, and love for helping others.
Vicki married Darrell Brown on September 18, 1999, and together they built a loving home filled with laughter, faith, and devotion. She was a devoted mother to William Sargent III, Marcus Brown, and Dariann Brown, and also fostered and helped raise her beloved nieces and nephews.
Vicki’s strong faith was the foundation of her life. She trusted in God’s plan and found strength in prayer, always encouraging others to keep faith through life’s challenges. Family was the center of Vicki’s world, and she found joy in gatherings, dancing, creating jewelry and crafts, and building memories. Her warmth and love will continue to live on through those she touched.
She leaves to cherish Her memories her husband, Darrell Brown; her children, William Sargent III, Marcus Brown, and Dariann Brown; her three grandsons and six granddaughters; her siblings Phyllis, Joyce, Rhonda (Dale), Floyd Jr., Richard, and Thomas (Jill); four generations of nieces and nephews; cousins; her extended family, the Browns; her childhood friend Lisa Walker; and host of other family and friends whom she loved immensely.
