VERNON WILLIAMS Obituary

Vernon Lee Williams was born June 3, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents, Hattie Williams and Vernon Holsey of Indianapolis, Indiana. Hattie later married Robert Quarles, Sr. who lovingly raised Vernon.

Vernon accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana under the pastorage of Rev. Herbert A. Easley.

Vernon attended Indianapolis public schools and Emmerich Manual High School. Vernon enjoyed sports and played on the basketball team in high school.  Vernon played football on the JTV Hill Community Center football team. Vernon enjoyed watching baseball and basketball with his grandfather.

Vernon and his wife Michelle were together 30 years and married on January 10, 2022. They enjoyed spending time together and were best friends. Vernon was funny and loved telling jokes. Vernon was hardworking and loved his wife and daughter dearly, and all his family. Vernon was a quiet soul, laid back and relaxed.

Vernon had a close relationship with his brother, Robert. Their bond was unbreakable, and they would sit on the phone for hours laughing and joking talking about sports. Vernon loved all his family.

Vernon worked at All Property Services for 21 years, where he received several different awards. Vernon’s coworkers loved him because he got the job done.

Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Holsey; step-dad, Robert Quarles, Sr., and grandparents, Abrom and Laura Hosley, and Lewis and     Irene Williams.

Vernon leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Michelle Williams; two daughters, LaShea Williams and Arianna Green; one son, Donte McNeal; and one step-son, Darren McDuffy; eleven grandchildren; mother, Hattie Quarles; one Brother, Robert Quarles, Jr. (Monica), and three sisters, Sharonda Quarles, Tiesha Gamble, and Simona Williams (Maurice). Vernon also leaves two sisters- in-law, April Davis and Nicole Gates (Robert), and a host of aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
