Ryan Christopher Carr was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 21, 1989. He completed his primary and secondary education within the Indianapolis Public School System and attended Arlington High School.
Ryan had a deep love for "old school" music and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed the quiet moments spent fishing with his cousin, Mike, and his nephew, Da’Khari. A talented cook, Ryan turned his passion into a career, working at Red Robin and His Place Eatery. His warmth and presence will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Ryan Christopher Carr II; his daughters, Malaysia Carr and Princess Fields; his mother, Rosalind Shockley; father, Dwayne Carr; and stepfather, Leonard Barbee, Jr.
He is also survived by his siblings, Dwayne Shockley (Kelly), Briana Carr, Leonard Barbee III (Sasha), and Shay Barbee; his grandparents, Betty Shockley, Walter Shockley, and Carolyn Robinson; his aunts, Antionette Shockley, Kimberly Shockley, Ninya Bostic (Kevin), and Tiara Harrison; his nieces and nephews, Gabrielle Robbins, Da’Khari Carr, Anthony Shockley, Cordae Shockley, and Adonis Barbee; his cousins, Michael Jefferson, Ieshia Jefferson, Kelsey Shockley, and Andrew Baker; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
