Mr. Robbie Hudgins was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 3, 1970 to Elizabeth Lake King and Maurice W. Hudgins.
Robbie attended Indianapolis Public Schools, and Southport High School. Robbie started working at an early age as his father’s construction and labor apprentice. Guided by his father's knowledge of construction, Robbie pursued a career in construction gaining employment with The International Laborers Union, Local 120.
Robbie professed a hope in Christ at a very early age was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was later baptized again at First Samuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Robbie loved all of his children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Robbie loved “All ” of his family to the fullest and enjoyed spending quality time and having fun with his family.
Robbie enjoyed spending quality time with his granddaughter Diamonique a.k.a "Tink". Tink, he often talked about, and simply adored. Robbie shared some of his best times with his brother, Kevin and sister, Tracy, they were the best of friends. They spent time hanging out going places, reminiscing on childhood memories, and doing yard work “with” Tracy. Robbie cherished being a help to his family whenever needed.
Although Robbie was the youngest of his siblings he quickly became a big brother to his niece "Tiffanie" when she was born. The two shared a close bond as brother and sister, growing up and exploring life together.
Robbie's favorite cousin was Kendall. Kendall always kept Robbie laughing. Robbie also consider his friends family. Two of his closest friends were Eric Walker a.k.a "Johnny Woo", and Tracy Hollowell a.k.a "Tray Dogg".
Robbie Hudgins departed this earthly life on May 5, 2023 at the age of fifty-two years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Mary Hudgins; brothers, Darvin King, Eric King and, Kevin R. King; and sister, Roseann Hudgins-Herron.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Domonique D. Hudgins and Isiah D. Hudgins; daughter, Charita' Marshall, the mother of his three children, Melody Thompson; three granddaughters, Diamonique Robinson, Makaia Strong, and Ca'Maia Strong; grandson, Melvin Strong III; five brothers, Williams King Jr, Reginald King, Marcus King, Byron King (Teresa), and Ronnie King; seven sisters, Brenda McMitchell, Denise Jordan-Bryant (Carson) ,Tracy Logwood (Raymond), Shelley Hudgins, Bonita Gupton, Janice Blair, and Angelia Watkins, his loving and special aunt, Mary Jackson; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
