RICHARD CORNELL WEIR, II

Richard Cornell Weir II, affectionately known as "Richie," was born on February 23, 1983, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Richard and Angela Weir.

Richie attended Holy Angels Catholic School and Pike Township Schools. Richie loved playing football, basketball, boxing, wrestling, and practicing martial arts. Richie had a penchant for foreign languages, specifically Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic. In addition, Richie genuinely enjoyed writing rap poetry, creating musical beats, drawing, playing video games with friends, and spending quiet time at the library.

Richie worked in various occupations; however, his true passion was carpentry, he was a diligent and industrious worker in this field. Richie possessed a generous heart that was matched with an exuberant laugh and a charming smile.

Richie professed his faith in Christ and was baptized and filled with God’s spirit at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church (Kingdom Apostolic Ministries).

Richard Cornell Weir II went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of forty-two years, five months, and twenty-four days. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Richie leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Angela and Richard Weir; his sister, Stephanie Recasas; two nephews, Giovonni Recasas and Broadrick Recasas; one niece, Hannah Recasas; and a great host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
