PATRICIA JACKSON Obituary

Obituary

Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time.  But no one seems to care or wonder why.  No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Isaiah 57:1-2  NLT

Mrs. Patricia Lorraine Jackson, daughter of William and Merlean Frazier (McIntyre), was born August 10, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She attended and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1967.  She was a former member of Hillside Christian Church, and relocated her membership to Mt. Zion Apostolic Church in the early 2000’s.

In June of 1969, Patricia was united in marriage to Russell Leo Jackson (divorced).  From this union they had 3 beautiful daughters.   Patricia was employed at Flanner House Child Care Development Center for 30 years as a Preschool Teacher prior to her retirement.

Patricia demonstrated her artistic abilities everywhere she went, including with the residents of her apartment community. She enjoyed cooking, drawing, and teaching/educating about Black History.  She also loved working on puzzles and watching the Colts games, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Joyce Meyers and the news.

Patricia was known for sending out hallmark cards to individuals on every special occasion.  That was her way of letting you know that she was thinking about you and that she remembered.  She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother/great-grandmother and friend. Nicknamed “Patty June” by her former church members, she will be remembered for her warm, friendly smile, enormous creative personality, and high energy spirit.

One of a kind, no one else like her!

Mrs. Patricia Lorraine Jackson departed this life too soon on August 1, 2022, at the age of seventy-two years young.  She leaves to cherish her loving memory three daughters, Michelle Bailey (Jackson) (husband, Paul Bailey), Cha Rhonda Lindsey (husband, Jason Lindsey), and LaToya Jackson; sister Priscilla A. Harris (Frazier); former husband, Russell L. Jackson; niece, Vanessa Matthews (Harris); nephews, William Harris (wife, Charene Harris), Sean Harris; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives, church family, and many wonderful, cherished friends.
