Patricia Ann Johnson was born Patricia Ann Williams to Mary Williams on August 6, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was raised by her parents, John and Martha Washington.
She attended the Indianapolis Public School System for elementary and middle school. She graduated from historic Crispus Attucks High School in 1966.
Patricia attended Mount Horeb Baptist Church and professed her faith in Christ as a child. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to two wonderful sons, James Anthony Johnson and Terry Eugene Johnson.
Patricia worked as a social worker at the Marion County Department of Public Welfare. She retired after twenty-five years.
As a young woman, Patricia was baptized in Jesus Name, born again and became an active member of Christian Tabernacle Apostolic Church. She later became a devoted member of Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed serving on various church committees. She enjoyed listening to blood songs during her praise and worship time with the Lord .In her later years it was her great pleasure to become a member of Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church. She actively attended until her health failed.
Patricia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lorene Williams; mother Mary Friend; and her parents, John and Martha Washington; and grandson, Damon Collins.
Patricia Ann Johnson departed this earthly life on May 9, 2022. She leaves her sons, James Johnson and Terry Johnson (Nita); her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Damon Moore (Adriana), Tiambie Harris (David), Devon Collins, Michael Berry, Michael Johnson (Kate), Tericia Johnson, Dustin Collins, Terri Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, Tyra Johnson, Tiara Johnson, DeAngelo Johnson, Darrell Damon, DeJuan, Jada, Judah Collins, DJ, Lebron, Hezekiah, Tegan Harris, Michael, Jr. and Klaira Mae Johnson; granddaughter-in-law, Keyshia Collins; her loving sisters, Bonnie Taylor (Luther), Shirley Uzzell (Danell), Linda Hair (James), Denise Friend, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition, Patricia will be greatly missed by her lifelong best friend Ora Markey and many other friends and family members.
