Joyce’s Personal Journey with God
Joyce Jean Webb was the daughter of the late Guy Bennet and Tom Ellen West. She was born December 26, 1946, in Glasgow, Kentucky.
In 1973, Joyce moved to Indianapolis where she had a career in nursing and pursued her ministry. In 1991, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit under Bishop Thomas at Mt. Zion.
In 1993, bible study in a one-bedroom apartment brought forth “Sisters in Prayer”, with feedings on Saturdays and prayers every Tuesday night in Amber Woods.
1994-1995, Joyce devoted her time to weekly prayers that was held every Friday night along with an available food pantry, free clothes, and cooked meals.
In 1998, Joyce was ordained and opened a church at 3636 Roosevelt Avenue called “Jesus Saves.” 2005, Joyce's time was devoted to doing Ministry in parks and homes.
In 2009, Joyce received her studies/bible teaching at BSF Bible College.
2009-2022, dedicated her recent and final years to continuing to give each and every soul the "Good News.”
Joyce went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022 She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tereasa and sister, Jackie West.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children Phyllis, Terri, and Tracy; grandchildren, Kiana, John, Tomessa, Jordan Alonzo, Gabrielle, Terracotta, Allante, Tomas-Terel; siblings, Joann Howard, Billie West; ten great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, along with a host of church family and friends.
