OMAR JOHNSON

Omar Latez Johnson was born on February 23, 1980. in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

“Maury”, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was as loving and kind son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

 Maury attended school #90, Westlane and Ben Davis and most recently enrolled in Ivy Tech. Maury was so happy to be back in school and starting a new journey.

Maury gave his life to the Lord and was a member of Faith Center Church International under the leadership of Jesus and Pastor William Bumphus, Jr.  Maury accepted God as his Savior and always praised him.

Maury departed this life October 21, 2023, at the age of forty-three years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Johnson; birth mother, Beatrice Dale; brother, Anthony Johnson; sister, Gaylo Johnson; nephew, Anthony “Man Man” Holland; uncles, Chester and Idrissa; aunts, Brenda and Mary Johnson; niece, Sharron Holland; grandparents, Isom and Hattie Lou Johnson, Roosevelt Sr. and Lillie Winston; and cousin, Rudolph Dotson.

Omar is survived by his mother, Rose Johnson; uncles, Jimmy “Shim” Johnson, Theodore “Teddy” Johnson, Wilbert “Pigg” and Roosevelt Winston, Jr.”; aunt, Penelope “Penny” Meredith; brother, Michael Dale; sisters, Brittany and Betty Dale; nieces, Sharea and Shareea Holland, and a host other family member, friends and loved ones.

Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.
