Nathaniel James Richey was born December 27, 1968, to Susie Virginia Richey Leeper in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools.
Nathan He was baptized and accepted Christ at a young age and grew up attending and playing piano in the family church of First Baptist Church of North Indianapolis, Indiana.
Nathan absolutely loved music of various genres and times and being a musical genius, and part of a talented musical family. He could play along with any song, melody, harmony or voice from old classical to rap and R&B.
Nathan loved to travel and explore the country often by faith and a courageous spirit.
Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Susie V. Richey-Leeper, Arthur G. Leeper and his Grandmother Josephine Lamar-Richey.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his younger sister Katherine I. Miller (Chad), his Niece, Jhane’ T. Leeper, great Niece Avani A. Leeper and cousins; all who cherished and will forever miss his humorous, witty, outgoing, adventurous and loving nature making family gatherings more interesting and being the “Piano Man”, a melody to all our songs over the years.
