Myron Turman was born on December 22, 1981, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Myron was the youngest of five children from the union of James E. Turman Sr. and Drewnell Holland-Thompson.
Myron attended Lawrence North High School. After high school, he worked for Damar Services Incorporation on the Behavioral Support Staff working closely with the youth. Eventually, Myron became a professional truck driver where he delivered merchandise across the United States for over 20 years. His greatest joy was having two wonderful daughters, LaToria Turman and Mariah Turman that he cherished unconditionally.
Myron was known for his energetic vibrant energy and illuminating personality. He had a unique way of bringing life to all the family gatherings. Especially when he would imitate family members like his father, his uncles and his siblings. Myron had a pastoral presence that emanated a feeling of stability and hope whenever he entered into a room.
Myron was baptized at an early age at Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ. Myron demonstrated his hope in Christ by accepting his call to ministry. He took on the role of Worship Leader at Mid East Church of Christ and eventually progressed on to become a prominent Minister of Music at Hovey Street Church of Christ where he taught classes on the Power of Worship.
Myron was known for his voice and had an innovative approach in blending quartet and gospel music establishing his unique style of singing. Myron went on to become a licensed minister serving at weddings and funerals as well as performing with the singing group, Leading 7. Myron’s many accomplishments and impactful progression through life established him as a pillar of strength and source of guidance for the family when navigating through spiritual formation.
On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Myron transitioned from this life at the age of 43. Myron was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Henry Holland, Zera Eva Holland, and Anna Smith, as well as his father, James E. Turman Sr.
