Vicki Lynn Pace was born on January 2, 1965, to Otis A. and Tommie Lee Pace in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she lived her entire life.
After graduating from Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, she completed her Licensed Practical Nursing degree at Ivy Tech College in 1990. Vicki was a loving and caring nurse for over 30 years, working in all sectors of the health field helping others and making their lives easier and more manageable. Her heart was open to all she came in contact with.
She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by all whose life she touched. She was the loving mother of four children and grandmother to six. She was an outreach minister to those in need. Vicki enjoyed different kind of arts, crafts, event and party planning. She was known for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh.
Vicki professed Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized. She continued her spiritual development throughout her life and became an avid prayer warrior and intercessor. She was a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was involved in ministry. She fought the good fight laboring hard for the Lord.
In 2021, Vicki was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She fought the battle against this horrible disease for over a year, having gone through radiation, chemotherapy and several hospitalizations. Vicki spent her last days in hospice care with her family in the comfort of her home. She was called to her Heavenly Home on June 3, 2022, at the age of 57. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Tommie Lee Pace and her sister, Vernola Lee Pace Sanders.
She leaves to cherish in her memory and celebrate her life her children, Marcus A. Scott, Shanel V. Scott, Dianna S. Clardy, and Jacqueline S. Clardy; her grandchildren, Niah A. Clardy, Maurice V. Pace, Maleah A. Morgan, Lailah A. Morgan, Kingston D. Morgan, and Valeniece I. Pace; her sister, Veronica L. Leggett, 3 brothers, William E. Pace, Harry E. Pace, and Darryl N. Pace, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
