MS. HELEN DIXON DOUGLASS Obituary

Helen Jean Douglass was born on September 4, 1940, at General Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Helen attended Crispus Attucks High School where she completed her general education diploma.

Helen was a faithful member of Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she found joy in worship and fellowship. She was known for her warm spirit, kind heart, and love for bringing people together.

Helen truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who meant the world to her. She also loved playing bingo and visiting the casino, activities that brought her excitement, laughter, and many cherished memories with loved ones.

Helen Jean Douglass of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away May 9, 2026, peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was blessed with eighty-five years of life.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Eric Douglass; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; extended family; church family; and many dear friends whose lives she touched through her kindness and love. She was preceded in death by her son, Fredrick Douglass, and her mother, Elizabeth Hill.

Helen’s presence, wisdom, and joyful personality will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
