MS. BERYL MOORE Obituary

Beryl Woodford Moore was born on November 12, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the fourth child born to Wade Woodford, Sr. and Mildred Williams Woodford.

In April of 1960, Beryl confessed a commitment to Christ and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church and she remained a faithful member throughout her life. Beryl served as a Vacation Bible teacher and was a member of the Usher Board.

Beryl attended IPS Wendell Phillips #63 and graduated from Crispus Attacks High School in 1968. She also attended Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis.

Beryl was united in Holy Matrimony to Johnnie R. Moore on February 27, 1982.

Beryl was employed at RCA, during her early adult years and retired from the Department of Defense Finance Center in 2015.

Beryl was a generous, caring and loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was a compassionate and donated to a variety of charities. She loved to travel and read and watch Jeopardy. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons, Jordan and Austin.

Beryl Woodford Moore went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 72 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and older brother (died at birth); sisters Callie Woodford Taylor and Denise Woodford Shirley; and brother Roderick Woodford.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband, Johnnie R. Moore; daughter, Tonya Trotter Ward (Derek); grandsons, Jordan Ward and Austin Ward; brothers, Wade Woodford Jr. (Mary) and Derrick Woodford; sisters, Clotilia Woodford Turner (Dennis), and Benita Woodfords, and many loving relatives and her church family.
