WILLIAM CORNELIUS DAVIS, son of Will Henry Davis and Georgia Lee (Myers) Davis, was born October 20, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
WILLIAM grew up on the south side of Indianapolis in the Babe Denny community and attended IPS #12 and Harry E. Wood High School.
WILLIAM accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age; and reaffirmed his faith before his death.
WILLIAM was united in marriage on November 1, 1975, to Winona B. Davis at Northside New Era Church.
WILLIAM was employed at Indy Tires (affectionately called “The Tire Man”) for 25 years, later employed at IUPUI in Building Services as a group leader where he retired in 2015.
WILLIAM enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved listening to his favorite 70’s and 80s R & B music. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, he loved to cook and watch his western TV shows.
WILLIAM departed this life Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents: three brothers, Frank Mallory, James Henry Davis and Brian Keith Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Sheila Glass (Derrick); children he embraced as his own, Paula Scott and Marcus Scott (Demetria) brothers, Micheal Anthony (Denise) Davis, Roland Duane (Sandra) Davis, Vincent Paul Davis; sisters, Marchelle Lane (Mark) Burke, Deborah Kay Turner, Sheryl Lynne Davis, Angela Marie (Ronald) Harrod; grandchildren, Courtney Hines (Carlton), Daisia Glass, and Derrick Glass; great-grandchildren, Elana Harvey, Makenzie Kay Craig, and Bayleigh Zinermon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
