Scherryl Lynn Scott came into this life on June 12, 1954. She was the second of five children born to Vivian Mae Mitchell. She was loving, loyal, and supportive to all of her family. She always saw the best in them.
Scherryl loved God with her whole being and never lost faith in the Lord. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at a very early age and walked through life with Him.
Scherryl married the love of her life, Arnold R. Scott on October 16, 1982. Scherryl was a beautiful spirit who loved God and her family immensely. She was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother to all of “her babies” who she adored with all her heart. Scherryl loved cooking for them and was a wonderful at it. She was also a very creative and talented artist at designing her own dresses. Scherryl was very courageous in life and never feared a challenge. Truth and honesty were what she lived by so that was what you got. She was a beauty inside and out. Scherryl lived a life of compassion for others and was greatly loved for it. She also had a wonderful sense of humor that she used to make others around her feel good.
Scherryl Lynn Scott’s spirt was set free on January 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian M. Mitchell and bother, Byron M. McGuire Ferguson.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold R. Scott; two daughters, Victoria Woodard and Alisha Scott; sisters, Carla Franklin (Theodore), Victoria Hudson (Matthew), and Maureen McGuire; five grandchildren, Ayden, Kayleigh, Breanna, Anthony, and Arnold, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
We will miss the beauty of your soul. Our love for you is written in our hearts and we thank God for sharing you with us.
