MRS. RITTA C. (GRISSOM) REID

Ritta C. Reid, age 78, peacefully passed away on March 20, 2026. She was born on September 20, 1947, to the late Clarence House and Ritta Jones.

Ritta attended Crispus Attucks High School and was a devoted member of Barnes Methodist Church. Early in her career, she worked at General Hospital and later at United Hospital Service before dedicating her life to caring for her home and family as a loving housewife to her late husband, Harry Reid. Ritta and Harry were married on August 13, 1991, and shared many cherished years together.

 Ritta found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking meals for her family, knitting, gardening, and spending time watching her favorite television shows. Her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jeannine Tinsley; her son-in-law, Damon Tinsley Sr.; and her beloved grandchildren, Damon Tinsley Jr. and Devante Tinsley.
