Martha Ann Crain Trotter was born on June 24, 1923, in Grenada, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late James Madison Crain and Annie Wright Crain.
She was accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Martha was baptized at a young age in Mississippi.
She united in Holy Matrimony with Isaac S. Myrick, Sr. in 1942. There was one child born to this union, Isaac, Jr. in Mississippi.
Martha relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1948. This is where she met Mr. William S. Trotter, and together they joined hands in marriage in 1949.
Martha was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and also Indiana Baptist Church. She was also affiliated with Holy Tabernacle Seventh Day Adventist church where she served as a Stewardess.
Martha lovingly became a devoted and caring mother who raised five children on her own. Martha worked at Mechanic’s Laundry to provide for her family and retired after twenty-four years of service in 1984. She was later employed at Safeway Builders part-time in the housekeeping department. She retired in 1992 after seven years of service.
Martha enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going to the casino.
Martha Ann Crain Trotter departed this earthly on November 7, 2023 at age of one hundred years, four months, and fourteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and four children, Isaac Samuel Myrick, Jr., Betty Trotter, Charles Trotter, and Tony Trotter.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Bernice Taylor (Richard); six grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
