MRS. JOYCE ANN WILLS TRAVIS

Joyce Travis was born on July 20, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Nathan and Betty Wills.

She completed her primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System. She attended school #26 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.

Joyce accepted Christ at an early age.  She attended family churches, Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church and Believers In Christ Tabernacle.

Joyce married Sylvester Travis on August 29, 1980.  To this union two children were born.

Joyce worked at Hoosier Gasket. In her leisure time, she loved spending time with her family and friends, and just having a good time. She will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her.

Joyce Travis departed this life on May 11, 2022, at the age of 63 years 9 months and 22 days.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Betty Wills; brothers, Jeffrey Wills and Nathan Wills; and son, Anthony Grice.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Sylvester Travis; daughters, Savania and Sabrina Travis; step-children, Sylvia Travis, Sylvester Travis, Jr. and Sylvester Travis, III; granddaughter, Janiah Grice; grandson, Sameron Travis; great-grandson;  sisters, Olivia McCord, Kim (Allan) Jefferson, and Pam Wills; brother, Henry (Margaret) Wills; and a host of nieces, nephews, other  relatives, and friends.
