MRS. BETTY GERTRUDE BREWER

Betty Gertrude Brewer affectionately know as “Gertie” to some and “Minnie” to others was born in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Elwood and Ester Lucille Birdsong. Betty is the widow of the late Roger L. Brewer, Sr.

Betty was a member of Praise and Worship Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Designate Mark A. Maxwell, Sr. and First Lady ReNae Maxwell where she formally served on the Nurses Board, Mothers Board, and the Pastor’s Aide Ministry.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Nickita D. Brewer and Pamela R. Ali.  Betty also had a bonus daughter (her granddaughter) Sacha Fuller (Jason), whom she raised as her own. Betty had two children who preceded her in death: Roger L. Brewer, Jr. and Lisa P. Redd. Betty leaves to mourn 6 additional grandchildren Philana Dunn (Tony), Anthony “Tony” Dancler (Tiea), Michael Cooper, Sacha Fuller (Jason), Nickisha Archie (Josh), Michael Redd, and Ashante Redd, 17 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of honorary grandchildren. She was a loving person with a big heart, and she will be greatly missed by everyone whom she encountered.
