MR. NATHANIEL "BO" MARTIN Obituary

Nathaniel James Martin was born on May 18, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late James Nathaniel Walls and Ms. Hartless Martin.

Nathaniel also known as “Bo” received his primary education at IPS School #37 and his secondary education at Tech High School.

NathanielBo” accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was raised at Pentecostal House Church of God under the leadership of Bishop John W. Cross. Later he became a member of Bethel Apostolic Church under the leadership of Bishop James Z. Townsend.

NathanielBo” was united in marriage to the Minister Michelle Dinkins Martin. This union ended in divorce.  Minister Martin preceded him in death. 

Later he met Sheila Kirby and they were solid for 18 years until his passing.  "Bo” and Sheila were avid members and faithful employees of the Triangle Civic Club where he never met a stranger including Walt, Gwen, King, and Nate. 

NathanielBo” was employed at Methodist Hospital since 1977 and had planned to retire on January 31, 2022 until the Lord called him home on January 1, 2022. 

Bo” was always dressed for the occasion.  He loved his hats, sunglasses, and Stacy Adams.  He also enjoyed fishing, music, joking around, and was also a great “pool shark.’  

NathanielBo” was a humble, strong, caring, and very loving father, brother, grandfather (PaPa), uncle, and friend.  He was “Uncle Bo” to his relatives and friends. He was well loved by his family, friends, and co-workers.   “Bo” loved his children and grandchildren to the fullest.  His grandchildren brought him so much joy.  He was a wonderful “PaPa.”   He will be greatly missed. 

Nathaniel James Martin Bo” departed this life on January 1, 2022 at the age of 68 years, 3 months, and 18 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Keith, and the mothers of his children, Michelle Martin and Trudy Woodruff. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Nikita, Kanette, Nathaniel, and Gregory; grandchildren, Tiffany, Kaneece, Korreyn, Genesis, Maci, JaJuan, Lil Greg, Ja’On, Mason; great-grandchildren; siblings, Lincoln (Queen Esther), Martin, Ira Martin, Veonia Gadis, Molly (James) Harney, Lillie Martin, Sharon (Ben) Harrison, and Thelma (John) Eldridge; fiancé, Sheila Kirby; special daughter, Alesha Reedy; childhood friend, George Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
