Leroy Leach, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was 84 years old.
Born in 1940, Leroy graduated from E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 1959. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Mary Mosley, in 1962. Their marriage was a shining example of love, strength, and partnership that spanned over six decades.
Leroy dedicated 30 years of hard work and loyalty to the Ford Motor Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and spirit. He retired in 1995, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and respect among his colleagues.
Outside of work, Leroy found true joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid bowler and passionate golfer, he could often be found on the lanes or the greens, enjoying the camaraderie of competition and the peace of the outdoors. His love for the game was matched only by the stories he shared and the friendships he built along the way. He was also a dedicated member of Central Lodge #1 and a Past Master.
Leroy’s proudest role was that of a father and grandfather. He led with strength, a warm smile, and a heart full of love. His wisdom, sense of humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Leroy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and integrity. His beloved wife Mary preceded him in death on April 23rd, 2025. He is survived by their children Leroy Leach, Jr. (Sheila) and Anthony Leach (Kelley), sister Fannie Mae Carver, grandchildren Cameron Leach, Payton Leach, Grant Leach, Maxwell McMillan Leach, Erica Brown, Beth Brown, and Mark Brown, Jr.; In-laws Patricia Burns (Wallace), Clara Finger, Henry Mosely (Denise) and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
