MR. BREAZEALE NORRIS, SR. Obituary

Breazeale Warthern Norris, Sr.  was born to the late Joseph and Lula Mae Breazeale (Breaziel) Norris on June 30, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Breazeale’s father Jospeh, passed when Breazeale was just eight years old. Leaving the Norris children to be nurtured in a single-family home. Breazeale attended and was baptized at a young age at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church by the late, Rev. Henry Thurston Toliver.

Breazeale loved to party and hang out with family. He was an affectionate animal lover. Always gentle and compassionate towards them. As a child he could always be found playing with his dog Sheba.

“Doc” or “Doodie” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, attended Indianapolis Public School # 5 and Washington High School, and later furthering his studies at Indiana University. Doc was a star wrestler at Washington High. Often showing his wrestling skills throughout his life, He never lost his touch.

At the age of 35, Doc enlisted into the United States Army. Serving his tenure during the Persian Gulf War, he earned many awards and acquired the rank of Seargent.  Doc took pride in serving his country and would remind anyone often he was a veteran.  He traveled all over the world whether in the Military or driving his Big Semi Truck, traveling from state to state.

He would always say some quote such as “Hell Yeah” or “Say it Again” or “That’s What I’m talking about” he was such a character. Doc will always be missed for the love and support he showed his family. He was always willing to help anyone out regardless of their need.

Breazeale Warthern Norris, Sr. “Doc” transitioned from his earthly home to His Heavenly home at 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the age of seventy-three years old. Breazeale was preceded in death by, his parents; brother, Calvin Norris (Rick Mount); sisters, Carolyn Norris (Cathy-Crazy Horse) and Elner Maude Norris (Chick); and his special dog, Sheba.

Breazeale Warthern Norris, Sr. leaves behind to cherish his memories his sister, Delores Norris (Gean-Red) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sons, Breazeale (Jew) Warthern Norris, Jr. (Tequila) and Tywan Norris both of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Anlanda White (Lonnie) of Atlanta, Georgia, Couneilya Norris (Natee), and Quincy Norris (Wolfie), of Indianapolis, Indiana;  10 grandsons, 12 granddaughters, his cats, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
