MOTHER BERTHA MAE CLARDY ANDERSON

Bertha Mae Clardy-Anderson" Mother'' was born on December 25, 1923 to parents, James and Emma Clardy in Clarksville, Tennessee. She came to Indianapolis where she met her husband and married Charles Walter Anderson.  They had 16 children.

Sister Bertha Anderson accepted Christ into her life and was baptized at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, where she served the Lord as an Usher for many years.

Bertha enjoyed bingo, her church family, and her church hats.  She especially loved family get togethers. During those times she loved cooking and listening to music with her family.  She also enjoyed taking trips.

Bertha Mae Clardy-Anderson peacefully passed away at the age of 97 and 10 ½  months years old on November 14, 2021.  Bertha was preceded in death by her husband who she deeply loved, Charles Walter Anderson, Sr., and her children, Bertha Bond, Charles W. Anderson Jr., Evanna Wiggins, Dennis Anderson, Phyllis Anderson, Sandra Anderson, and Freddie Anderson.

She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Moore; her children from the oldest to youngest, John (Jackie) Anderson, Lilian Washington, Lucille Smith (Tommy; deceased), Alecha Anderson, Darlene Ayietta, Clementina Lee (Rosco), Tommie Anderson, Emma McKeller, and Jimmy (Carla) Anderson.  She also had a host of grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great great-grandchildren.
