Michael Anthony Thomas was born on February 2, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of James Edward Thomas and Anita Thomas. Michael lived a life rooted in love, service, and dedication to his family and community.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army as a military policeman at Fort Gordon, and he was honorably discharged in 1972. That same year, he met the love of his life, Denise Thomas. Their relationship blossomed into marriage in April of 1984, and later that year, in December, they welcomed their son, Aaron A. Thomas.
Michael was a proud graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, and he went on to build a remarkable career at the Veterans Administration Medical Centered, where he worked faithfully for thirty-five years. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to helping others.
Michael enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially fishing, music, sports, and cars—passions that brought him joy and relaxation.
Michael passed away peacefully, on March 21, 2026, at the age of seventy-six years one month and twenty days. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anita Thomas, and his siblings, Shelia Thomas, Barry Thomas, and Randy Thomas (Jennifer Thomas).
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Denise Thomas; his son, Aaron A. Thomas (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Aaryn Thomas and Quentin Jordan; his brother, Daryl Thomas, and his sister, Lia Hughes (MC Hughes).
