Mary Louise Lynch, affectionately known as Mary, was born on May 4, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Booker T. Garner and Margaret Louise Garner. She was one of eight children born to this union.
She received her early education at John Hope School #26 and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. On May 20, 1966, Mary was united in holy matrimony to George William Lynch Sr. Together they built a life of love, faith, and family.
Mary dedicated many years to her career. She worked at RCA for 15 years and later spent 20 years at Eli Lilly, retiring in 2008. Her strong work ethic was matched only by her devotion to her family.
A faithful member of Mid-East Church of Christ, Mary loved attending church and hearing the Word of God. She also enjoyed cooking, listening to blues music, watching tennis and game shows, shopping, and visiting the casino. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Mary peacefully entered eternal rest on June 4, 2025, at the age of 78. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George William Lynch Sr., her parents, her sister Joyce Garner, and two brothers, Larry Garner and Booker T. Garner Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, George Lynch Jr., Monique Lynch, and Kirk Lynch;
Grandchildren, Breyona Daniels, BreAnn Daniels, Geyona Lynch, Candice Loman, Arianna Lynch, and De’Niyah Lynch; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Arnold (Wanda) Garner and Steve (Brenda) Garner; sisters, Gloria Garner, Betty (Willie) White, and Geneva Garner.
Mary also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will continue to love and honor her memory.
