Marva Ann Hoskins was born on September 20, 1939 to William Hoskins, Sr. and Mattie Gordon Hoskins in West Point, Mississippi.
Marva accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Herman Baptist Church in West Point, Mississippi.
Marva relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1953. She received her formal education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Shortridge High School. After high school, Marva continued her education at Indiana Central Business College.
Marva was a devoted and carry nanny for the Darlington and Goodman families for many years. She was also employed at Meridian Insurance Company now known as State Auto Insurance for over twenty years. Marva was a member of the Indianapolis Recorder’s Women’s Auxiliary. Marva also loved entertaining and family gatherings. Her favorite pastimes included reading True Romance magazines, watching movies on Lifetime and playing Bingo. Marva went home to be with the Heavenly Father on September 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hoskins, Sr. and Mattie Louise Gordon Hoskins, sister, Vera Key Hoskins Pruitt, and brother, Charles Edward Hoskins.
Marva leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jeffery (LaDanya) Hoskins; grandchildren, Quintin (Kizzie) Hoskins, Ashley Hoskins, and Miles Hoskins; sister, Julia Tucker; brother, William Hoskins, Jr.; aunt, Annie Thomas; special friends, John Darlington, Jay Nyhart and Sally Nyhart, Bobby Goodman, and a host of other family members, and friends.
