Mack Reynolds. Jr. was born in Pulaski, Tennessee, on January 23, 1934. He received his primary and secondary education in the Tennessee public school system and graduated from Bridgeforth High School.
Mack was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, and a proud United States Army soldier. At an early age, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ, was baptized, and united with Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his move to Indianapolis, Indiana. Upon relocating, he became a member of Grace Apostolic Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Bishop Kevin M. Harrison. At Grace Apostolic, Mack served faithfully as a leader in the Men’s Ministry and as a Senior Usher.
On October 1, 1971, Mack was united in holy matrimony to Maxine Jordan Reynolds, with whom he shared a devoted and loving marriage.
Mack honorably served in the United States Army, completing basic training at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. He was assigned to Artillery with the 105th Infantry at Fort Smith, Arkansas, and later stationed with Battery D, 40th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
After completing his military service, Mack was employed with Chrysler Corporation, where he worked faithfully for more than thirty years before retiring. Following retirement, he went on to work at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital from 1993 through 2003, where he received several honors, including Employee of the Month (1993) and a Performance Award (1994).
Mack’s favorite pastimes included gardening and caring for his lawn, hobbies through which he took great pride in his home.
Mr. Mack Reynolds, Jr., age 91, passed away on August 13, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Lillian Sloan Reynolds; brothers Willie and Walter Reynolds; and sisters Dolores Reynolds, Madie Reynolds, and Mrs. Gary Gilbert.
Mack leaves behind his beloved dog, Fluffy; two brothers, Benny Reynolds and Morris Reynolds of Pulaski, Tennessee; his step-granddaughter, Rabia Smith; his nieces, Dr. Antoinette Austin-Glass (John Glass), and Stephanie Gilbert; nephews, Curtis Gilbert, Stanley Gilbert, and Greg Gilbert (Smokey).
