Lendola (Benifield) Minor was born on December 2, 1940 in Wheatcroft, Kentucky to the late Arneuwell “Jack” Benifield and Sarah Anne (Bell) Benifield. She professed her life in Christ at an early age at Little Flock Baptist Church in Nebo, Kentucky.
Lendola graduated from Rosenwald High School in Madisonville, Kentucky, and shortly after she was joined in holy matrimony to Bobby L. Minor, Sr. in 1958. They moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1961 to start a family and they joined Puritan Missionary Baptist Church. Lendola later became a founding member of Believers of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, where she loved Sunday School, was a member of several ministries, an active choir member and was the Church secretary for twenty-five years.
Lendola worked at RCA and retired after several years of service. After she retired, she started babysitting all of her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. In addition to her love she had for her family and spending time with them, she made sure to call every family member and sing “Happy Birthday” to them on each of their birthdays. Lendola enjoyed putting puzzles together, reading, doing word searches, crossword puzzles, and putting her Christmas village together at Christmas time with her family.
Lendola Minor departed this life for eternal life on August 2, 2022, at the age of eighty-one years, eight months, and one day.
