Lavetra was born to Ammual Taylor and Stella Davenport on March 6,1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the second eldest of ten children and a guiding light to her family, friends, and community.
A proud graduate of Arsenal Technical High School (Class of 1992), Lavetra continued her education at Martin University (1992-1993) and Kentucky State University (1993-1994), making the Dean’s List twice during her academic journey. Her dedication to caring for others led her to a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Patient Advocacy Specialist, from which she retired after years of compassionate service.
Lavetra’s life was filled with love, joy, and a passion for family. She had a heart for shopping; especially for her grandchildren and a love for jewelry. In college, she sang in the gospel group Messengers of Christ alongside her close friend, Marquita Robinson, uplifting others through music and ministry. Lavetra accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Greater True Gospel Tabernacle Church, where she served faithfully and was a minister in training.
Lavetra departed this life on July 19, 2025. Lavetra was preceded in death by her grandmother, Maude Davenport; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Robinson; her son, Paschal Robinson, Jr.; and her nephew, Robert Earl Hoskins.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Paschal Robinson; her parents, Ammual Taylor and Stella Davenport; and her beloved children, Ernest, Kenyatta, Tiondra, Steven, Alexis, Asia, Xavion, Xavier, and Paschal. She is also survived by her siblings, India, Keona, Lakisha, Ranicka, Isaiah, Iesha, Chris, Aveonna, and Keaira; along with a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and fifteen cherished grandchildren. Lavetra’s legacy is one of faith, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community.
