KIMBERLY BOLDEN Obituary

Kimberly Lynn Cheatham was born on June 5, 1963, to Shirley Ann Long and James Cheatham, Sr., and was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she spent her life surrounded by family and community.

Not long after graduating from North Central High School, Kimberly met and married the love of her life, C. Nickerson Bolden. They were married in 1983, and together, they built a loving family with their two daughters, LaNesha and Leah.

Mrs. Bolden’s life centered on her husband and children. She raised her daughters to love the Lord and to honor Him through their gifts. She faithfully supported her husband in ministry and cherished traveling with him across the country. It was not unusual for the two of them to take spontaneous road trips, with Kimberly happily riding along in the passenger seat.

When she was not devoted to her roles as a wife and mother, she worked as an administrative assistant, office clerk, and instructional assistant. She served in a variety of settings, including the YMCA, the Jewish Community Center, and most recently, the J. Everlight Center at her alma mater, North Central High School.

Kimberly loved the Lord and served Him with her whole heart.  She was a long-time member of Christ Church Apostolic, attending and serving alongside her husband and family.  In   recent years, she enjoyed attending worship service with Leah and the boys at New Beginnings Fellowship Church.

Kimberly lovingly embraced her role as “Mema” to her four grandchildren, Lillian, David Jr., Nickerson, and Mason. She delighted in spending time with them playing games, baking cookies, and curling up together to watch movies, creating memories they will always cherish.

She also cherished frequent meet-ups with a host of her favorite aunts and “sister-cousins,” as she lovingly called them. Those gatherings were filled with long brunches, leisurely lunches, shared stories, and contagious laughter that reflected the deep bonds they shared.

The Lord called Kimberly Lynn Bolden from this life and into eternal rest in heaven on Monday, December 15, 2025, with her daughters and son-in-law, David, by her side.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Ann Long, and her husband, C. Nickerson Bolden.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters.  LaNesha Ann Tabb (David) and Leah Joy; her grandchildren:  Lillian and David Tabb Jr, and Nickerson and Mason Nyirendah; father, James Cheatham, Sr (Emma).; a brother, James Cheatham, Jr. (Denise); and a host of other close relatives and friends.
