It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Kevin Jerome Perry, who lived his life with compassion, strength, and a deep devotion to his faith. Kevin was born on July 1, 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Ada and William Perry. Kevin was a proud member of the Church of Christ at Trader’s Point and enjoyed participating in church retreats and gatherings. Kevin also never met a stranger and made a friend of everyone he encountered. He will be remembered for his selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit.
After graduating from Warren Central High School, Kevin held several jobs before being employed by Amtrak in Beech Grove. He graduated from the inaugural class of Car Repairman Apprenticeship, completing his goal to become a qualified Journeyman Carman.
Kevin was passionate about traveling, exploring new places and finding the best pastry and coffee shops in every city he visited. He delighted in sharing his confectionery finds with family, friends, and colleagues. He loved the beauty of nature and hiking, discovering hidden canyons, waterways and the occasional Dambo Troll sculpture. Kevin also felt a deep sense of commitment to serve the lives of others through God and was proud to be part of an outreach mentoring program through his church.
Kevin’s legacy of love, strength and compassion continues on in the lives of his loving family: mother Ada Perry, siblings Teresa Buchanan, William Perry, Ronald Perry, Shana Perry, Travail Perry, Keith Perry, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
