Kenneth David Deuett Sr. was born on September 17, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Charles and Teresa Deuett.
He attended Crispus Attucks High School, where he graduated at the age of 17. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country, completing his service in 1962.
Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service by working for the United States Postal Service. During that time, he also started his own business, Deuett Contractors which specialized in interior and exterior home improvement. He also worked for the Postal Service for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
Kenneth David Deuett Sr., peacefully passed away on October 19, 2025, at eighty-eight years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Deuett; father, Charles Deuett; sisters, Ileana Floyd and Velma Floyd; and brothers, John Henry Floyd Jr., Charles Floyd, and William Deuett.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kenneth D. Deuett Jr., Christian L. Deuett, and Rashaan Deuett; four grandchildren, Everett, Antwuan, Myles, and Oliijah; one great-grandson, Ahri; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives.
